Zee Heading to MIPCOM with New Dramas

MUMBAI/LOS ANGELES/CANNES: Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited (ZEEL) is set to bring four Indian dramas to MIPCOM.

Agent Raghav: Crime Branch; Ek Tha Raja, Ek Thi Rani; Sarojini; and Yeh Vaada Raha are 2015 Indian television series that premiered last quarter, and they are part of the company’s MIPCOM slate.Agent Raghav – Crime Branch is a fictional crime series, while Ek Tha Raja, Ek Thi Rani (Once Upon a Time, There Lived a King & Queen) tells the true story of the royal family of Ameerkot. Sarojini follows the journey of a strong-willed, well-educated girl who marries into a patriarchal family. In Yeh Wada Raha, a commitment changes the lives of Survi and Kartik.

Sunita Uchil, the global head of syndication at Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited, said, “Zee TV is known worldwide for producing the very best Indian television dramas and we are pleased to offer our first-run, top-rated new dramas to broadcasters at MIPCOM. In addition to these excellent dramas, we come to market with our vast catalogue of over 210,000 hours of television content, ZLiving wellness programming (produced in America) and a whole lot more.”

She added, “Our message is that Zee delivers top-quality, original content to viewers across the globe, helping audiences to experience a wide range of human emotions.”

Zee is also promoting Razia Sultan, a historical series set in 1236 AD. “Zee dramas are some of the best in the world, presenting emotions in a powerful way, with complex characters and engaging stories, making them a part of our lives,” Uchil remarked.

In the way of factual, the company has the food and travel program Good Food America. Format highlights include Dance India Dance.

“We are adding more than 50,000 hours of high-quality, original HD content every year to our program library to give audiences a great TV-viewing experience,” Uchil said.
